India by Tripta (IBT) is a sister-duo homegrown label dedicated to manufacturing, printing and customisation based in heart of the Pink City, India. The name of the brand stems from their mother’s name Tripta Dhawan and was founded to give a concrete dimension to her memory and to celebrate her life. Our organisation rests at the intersection of creativity, design and community empowerment. It is the brainchild of Kapoor Carpets and Textiles which was founded two generations ago Kapoor Carpets and Textiles is not only a century old living heritage but depicts the richness of the desert states culture IBT was born with the desire of empowering our local artisans while producing a fashionable product range in keeping with environmental conservation.
It homes native people practicing myriad craft forms. Our organisation sits at the intersection of creativity, design and community empowerment. It is our passion to find new shelves for our products in national and international markets; thereby popularising the art to keep it alive.
Jaipur based textile designer Tina Kapoor and fashion stylist Neena Verma came together to start an affair with block printing and hence emerged IBT which envisions the survival of a progressive, thriving craft industry – bringing back to life the fading local arts. We are dedicated to preserving the environment through the use of natural energy and waste management. Our goal is to become eco-friendly from start to finish. We use natural waterways and sun-dry technology. Our leftover materials are used to create our accessory range. Our designs are crafted and created keeping in mind practicality and vogue. IBT studio houses numerous designers, tailors, pattern-cutters, printers, colour-matchers and block-makers. Its sampling unit is where all the research is conducted and the magic is created in the form of its exclusive, unique products. Customers sits at the heart of our organization.
